An excellent option for those looking to train Muay Thai in Thailand for an extended period without the hassle of frequent visa renewals. Khao Lak Muay Thai is here to help you with the required documents, guide you every step of the way, and welcome you into the family.
Thailand has introduced a new, cost-effective visa called the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) for digital nomads, remote workers, freelancers, and those looking to train Muay Thai or participate in other cultural and recreational activities in Thailand.
Thailand is a place where the sport is an integral part of the culture. Training here isn’t just about learning techniques; it’s about adapting to the lifestyle, testing your limits, and experiencing Muay Thai as a way of life.
Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned fighter, training in Thailand offers so many opportunities. You’ll be surrounded by like-minded individuals who share your passion, and you’ll have the chance to train with top-notch fighters and coaches who have dedicated their lives to the sport. The intensity and authenticity of training in Thailand are unmatched, making it the ideal destination for anyone serious about Muay Thai, but if you just want to stay fit without pushing yourself above and beyond, don’t worry; you can take training as serious or as fun as you wish.
At KLMT, we’re not just a gym; we’re a family. Our close-knit team of ten has built something truly special over the years—a place where everyone is welcomed and supported, regardless of their experience level. Whether you’re stepping into the ring for the first time or preparing for your next fight, you’ll find a community that is dedicated to helping you grow, both physically and mentally.
Our team of trainers is the heart and soul of KLMT. Each one brings decades of experience, a deep love for Muay Thai, and a commitment to helping you reach your full potential.
At KLMT, we understand that moving to a new country is a big step. That’s why we go beyond just providing top notch training. We’re here to help you every step of the way, from navigating the visa process to finding the best local spots for food and relaxation.
One of the things that sets KLMT apart is our strong sense of community. Our members come from all over the world, united by their love for Muay Thai. Outside of training, you’ll have the opportunity to bond with your fellow nakmuays, explore Thailand, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
From the moment you decide to move to Thailand, we’re here to help. Our team can assist with everything from providing documents to your DTV visa to finding accommodations and setting up your daily routine. We want to make your transition as smooth as possible so that you can focus on what matters most—your training.
*You must show that you have enough liquid assets to support yourself during your extended stay in Thailand. The minimum for this is 500,000 THB, but as you must apply for this visa from outside of Thailand, the embassy or consulate you apply through may demand to see a higher amount and will have their own set of criteria for how much evidence is required to demonstrate this.
To qualify for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) under the Thai Soft Power category (Muay Thai training), participants must commit to a structured training program. This is a requirement for acceptance by the Muay Thai Authority (such as the Sports Authority of Thailand or equivalent certifying bodies) and Thai Immigration authorities, who verify enrollment and ongoing participation as part of the visa approval process.
Option 1: Training once a day (6 months)
A 50% deposit of 20,865 THB is required to start (payable by bank transfer). The remaining balance is due before training begins or upon completion (contact us for your preferred schedule).
Option 2: Training twice a day (6 months)
A 50% deposit of 32,100 THB is required to start (payable by bank transfer). The remaining balance is due before training begins or upon completion (contact us for your preferred schedule).
All prices are in Thai Baht (THB) and include 7% VAT.
Private Lessons
Unfortunately we are unable to provide custom training or payment solutions for DTV Applications as Immigration expect students to enroll on a structured training program. We are unable to exchange Group Classes for Private Lessons for this reason, as Immigration are becoming stricter on verification of students participation. Of course, Private Lessons can be booked supplementary to the Group Classes.
For DTV (Destination Thailand Visa) applications, we do not refund the deposit because we have already processed all the paperwork on your behalf, including preparing and submitting the required enrollment confirmation, acceptance letter, and supporting documentation to meet Muay Thai Authority (e.g., Sports Authority of Thailand guidelines) and Thai Immigration standards.
Our paperwork has consistently passed review by the Muay Thai Authority and Thai Immigration authorities for all clients who have completed the process with us. All of our clients have successfully received their visas when the application proceeded without issues on our end.
However, we cannot be responsible for external factors leading to rejection by the Thai Embassy or Consulate, such as concerns regarding the applicant's personal suitability, financial documentation, criminal record checks, interview responses, or any discretionary decisions made by the consular officer. These elements are evaluated independently by the embassy/consulate and fall outside our control.
Moving to Thailand to train Muay Thai is a life-changing decision, and at KLMT, we’re here to make sure it’s the best decision you’ve ever made. With the new Destination Thailand Visa, it’s easier than ever to start your journey.
