Thailand has introduced the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) — a modern, flexible, and cost-effective visa for digital nomads, remote workers, freelancers, and those wanting to train Muay Thai or participate in other Thai Soft Power activities.
Key Features of the DTV:
- Visa Duration: 5 years (multiple entry)
- Length of Stay per Entry: 180 days
- Extendable: Yes, once per entry (another 180 days)
- Minimum Age: 20 years old for primary applicant
- Family Inclusion: Spouse and children under 20 can join
- Workcation Allowed: Remote work for overseas clients is permitted (no local Thai employment)
- Application: Online via the Thai e-Visa system or at a Thai embassy/consulate
Requirements for a DTV Visa for Muay Thai Training
- Biodata page of your Passport or Travel Document
- Photograph taken within the last six months
- Document indicating your current location
- Financial evidence: Minimum 500,000 THB (bank statements or sponsorship letter)
- Official invitation / enrollment letter from Khao Lak Muay Thai confirming your Muay Thai training
